Program Overview

This 18-month training program is designed to equip students with essential skills across healthcare management, small business development, sustainable housing solutions, and supportive services. Through a combination of theoretical lessons, hands-on training, and capstone projects, students will gain a versatile skill set that prepares them for real-world applications in healthcare advocacy, entrepreneurial endeavors, and innovative housing solutions.

Phase 1: Advanced Healthcare Management and Self-Care

Duration: 4 months
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM

This initial phase provides students with foundational knowledge in chronic healthcare management and personal self-care practices. Students will gain insight into diagnostic techniques, treatment protocols, and health advocacy, preparing them to implement effective care routines and navigate healthcare systems independently.

  • Weeks 1-4: Introduction to Chronic Condition Management
    • Understanding common chronic conditions and self-care best practices
    • Introduction to diagnostic tools and technologies (lab work basics, basic imaging)
    • Goal: Enable students to understand and recognize healthcare fundamentals and chronic condition basics.
  • Weeks 5-8: Treatment Protocols and Health Maintenance
    • In-depth study of treatment protocols specific to chronic conditions
    • Techniques for health maintenance (dietary planning, physical therapy exercises, medication management)

  • Attendance: Regular attendance is required for all sessions, with allowances for emergencies. Absences may require makeup sessions.
